Potatoes and Peas combo is one of the best duos when it comes to preparing gravies. This is my version of aloo matar masala to suit the taste of those members in my family who do not prefer to eat heavily spiced gravies for rotis. This is mildy spiced but has a wonderful aroma of jeera and garam masala. I cook the potatoes till they are too soft so that they are easily digestible and also help to thicken the gravy when mashed slightly. This dish tastes better with time. Enjoy rotis and pulaos with this excellent accompaniment!
Adding ice cubes to fruit juice might dilute it. So freeze a portion of the fruit juice in an ice cube tray and use the juice cubes instead of water cubes. A very useful tip for this summer!
